PAPER TOWEL USERS LISTEN UP!

Another swap that I’m passionate about is replacing paper towels with Swedish dishcloths. These little cloths might not look like much at first, but once you add water, they become soft, absorbent, and incredibly durable. One Swedish dishcloth replaces about fifteen rolls of paper towels. To put that into perspective, those fifteen rolls could cost around $75, while a three-pack of Swedish dishcloths costs only $8. That means each one comes out to about $2.60—and it saves a huge amount of waste from ending up in the landfill. This has truly become my number-one eco swap in the home.

SIP SUSTAINABLY WITH CAMBRIA

One of my favorite ways to host sustainably is by choosing beverages that support the earth. Cambria Wine is 100% certified sustainable, and they take their responsibility seriously. Their vineyards are managed with practices that keep the soil healthy, and instead of using harsh chemicals for pest control, they employ falconers and set up owl boxes. They also compost cover crops and use renewable energy throughout their operations. What makes them even more inspiring is that Cambria is a female-owned and female-led business, which is rare in the wine industry. I poured a glass of their rosé during my gathering, and let me tell you—it was almost too good to put down. Their chardonnay is also a favorite here in Nashville, and you can find it at Kroger, Whole Foods, or order it online.
